Kevin Sharp - Letters of Recommendation
November 17, 1999
Dear Kevin,
Our hats are off to you!
The warmth of your story and your presence at our Fifth Annual Comedy Gala last Monday holds at bay the coming winter chill for everyone at Gilda's Club. Hear our continuing applause, even from New York City, as we thank you for the marvelous part you played in the success of our largest annual fundraising event. It was an evening that will linger long among fondest memories of everyone at The Plaza that special evening.
It was indeed a special night. Our honor was to honor you with our, "It's Always Something Award." Your acceptance remarks were a perfect companion to David Foster's presentation. Our audience was yours as they learned of your personal story and your own investment of heart and action to be there for others as an example of living with cancer. Singing, "Nobody Knows" was a wonderful gift to all of us.
On behalf of all the members of Gilda's Club New York City learning to live with cancer, your fellow honorees, and the Boards and staff of this organization and of Gilda's Club Inc., I send best wishes and sincere gratitude for becoming such a cherished part of the Gilda's Club family.
Thank you!
Craig Purinton
Director of Development
Gilda's Club New York City
P.S. We hope you will stop by Gilda's Club Nashville and say "hi" to Sandy Towers and her wonderful crew sometime soon. Thanks again.
